Barista & Kitchen Position- Job Description
The Barista & Kitchen positions require an organized, customer service minded individual who can work quickly. This position requires customer service experience and the ability to remember recipes and be responsible for cleanliness through out the restaurant. Both positions are similar in nature as we work together at JoJack’s as a team to take care of our customers. This position requires you to be on time and ready for work every day. We require you to have a positive attitude and share only positive experiences with co-workers and customers.
This position requires you to act professionally at all times while you are in the building and always keep the customer as your number one priority. The job duties listed below are requirements of the job for Barista and Kitchen employees.
The job duties include, but are not limited to the following:
Taking orders
Delivering food
Assembly of drinks/food
Remembering recipes
Excellent customer service skills
Answering the phone in 3 or less rings
Taking phone orders
Following policies and procedures
Working as part of a team
Helping out in all positions
Doing dishes
Cleaning
Lifting up to 25 lbs
Sweeping/mopping floors
Taking out garbage
Dusting
Attending meetings
Food preparation
Organizing storage areas and units
Cleaning windows
Respecting others
Using equipment properly
Learning the menu
Having a great attitude every day.
To be able to work in the food service business in the City of Portsmouth you must have a “Food Handler’s Card”. This can be obtained at the Portsmouth Health department. If hired, you will be required to have a card prior to your first day of work at JoJack’s
